If you want to start a blog and make money or are blogging for business you should understand it takes time for blogs to start ranking in search results on the first page of Google. Typically it might take 3-6 months probably even a year or longer before your blog starts to pick up steam. 

Plus, how can you perfect something you’ve never published. Blog drafts aren’t doing you any good if they don’t have a predefined publish date in mind. Also it’s hard to make something better if you haven’t had someone take a peek to tell you want they think..

I’ve found it way easier to link to old blogs once I started publishing them! It’s hard to tell someone about something you haven’t technically wrote and published yet.
