I get asked one question more than any other: “Brandi, how do you actually make money from 12 different blogs at the same time?”
Most people struggle to monetize just one site. I’ve spent the last 11 years engineering a “Multi-Niche Engine” that allows me to turn almost any passion—from RVing and Dogs to Finance and Faith—into a revenue-generating asset.
In case we haven’t officially met — Hi, I’m Blogging Brandi 👋
I started back in 2015 after realizing I didn’t just want to write about life — I wanted to build a business from it. What started as a creative outlet is now a full-blown empire. I’ve tested just about every way possible to make money blogging, and I’ve learned exactly what works (and what’s a waste of time).
In this post, I’m pulling back the curtain on the system behind the Hacienda. I’m sharing a full overview of how I make money across all of my websites—from the very first dollar to the multiple streams I’ve built today.
That’s why I created the [Born To Blog Club] and my free blogging course. I’m here to show you how to start, grow, and monetize your own “digital land” the right way.
📌 P.S. Keep an eye out for my upcoming detailed breakdowns for each specific niche blog—those are coming soon! (updated 4.11.26)

The Foundation: My Journey to the Hacienda
My blogging journey officially began in 2015, long before I ever called myself a “Blogger.” At the time, I was entrenched in the world of Finance and Accounting, helping others manage their investments and navigate complex numbers. It made sense — I have a degree in Finance — but I also carried a 20-year license in Cosmetology and a restless itch for entrepreneurship.
I’ve always loved to write, teach, and create. Eventually, I realized that blogging was the only medium that allowed me to heal, preach, teach, and sell — all from one centralized estate.
The YouTube Detour: From Vlogging to Blogging
Even though I was a writer at heart, my digital journey took a detour through YouTube first. I started a channel before I truly understood the power of a blog. In fact, my original goal was to start a website, but I somehow got swept up in the high-energy world of vlogging instead.
For a while, I poured every ounce of my energy into the “hamster wheel” of video: scripting, recording, editing, and uploading. I was blogging about my videos after the fact. Then came my Lightbulb Moment. 💡
I realized I was doing it all in reverse.
I began to reverse-engineer what I’d learned about SEO, keywords, and audience retention in video and applied those exact principles to the written word. Blogging gave me the freedom to create at my own pace and rank on Google without being tied to a camera 24/7.

The Multi-Niche Strategy: Why I Built a Digital Portfolio
As my journey evolved, I hit a wall: trying to cram my entire life onto one website was overwhelming—for me and my readers. An RV enthusiast might not care about sobriety mindset; a dog lover might not have a cat.
That’s when I discovered the power of Niching Down. It wasn’t just for my sanity; it was a calculated move for SEO and Monetization.
The Power of the Portfolio: Having separate “estates” allowed me to architect a business that is both scalable and secure:
- Search Engine Authority: By separating topics, I give Google a clear “Signal.” When my dog blog talks about dogs, Google knows exactly who to show it to.
- Diversified Income: Each blog allows for independent partnerships, different affiliate networks, and unique digital products. If one niche slows down, the others keep the engine running.
- Intellectual Organization: I can organize my passions into dedicated brands instead of a cluttered “junk drawer” website.
I treat my blogs like a portfolio of small businesses. Each has its own focus, its own audience, and its own revenue model.
For Example:
- If you want RV Life & Travel Gear, you visit [RVersity] or [Maps & Miles]
- If you need Pet Essentials, you head to [Birdie’s Doghouse] or [Cattitude Chaos].
- My personal home base, [Blogging Brandi], acts as the “Headquarters” that ties the story together—but each niche site is a standalone asset designed to perform.
The Strategy Signal:
[READ: How To Choose A Blog Niche That Makes Money] — My blueprint for deciding which “Identity Bricks” are worth building on first.
The “Aha” Moment: From Content Creator to Asset Manager
My first real breakthrough came with RVersity, my RV life blog and YouTube channel. It was the first “Identity Brick” to earn consistent, scalable income on its own. That’s when the lightbulb truly went off: Every blog is a standalone business.
I realized I had been trapped in the “Creator Grind”—spending countless hours scripting, filming, and editing YouTube videos—when I could reach an even larger, more targeted audience, faster, through well-optimized blog posts.
The Realization: Writing was the gift I had been running from, but I could no longer ignore its efficiency. Once I embraced the “Long-Game” of blogging over the “Short-Burn” of social video, the entire architecture of my business changed.
Today, I don’t just see myself as a writer or a vlogger. I am the Ringleader of an Ecosystem. I connect my diverse passions under one umbrella while architecting a blueprint that helps others do the same.
The Result: Each niche blog earns differently depending on its topic and audience. By understanding the “Revenue Personality” of each site, I can maximize my ROI across the entire estate—which is exactly what we’ll dive into next.
The Blueprint Move:

The 14-Stream Blueprint: The Complete Engine
After 11 years of trial and error (and plenty of caffeine ☕), I’ve moved past the “Hobbyist” phase and into a Blogging Business model. Today, my income is a diversified mix of 14 specific revenue streams that all anchor back to my 12-site estate.
The Strategy: You don’t need all 14 on Day 1. You start with one “Foundation” stream, master the frequency, and then add the next. Here is how I power the empire:
1. Affiliate Marketing: The Referral Engine
This is often the first “Identity Brick” I recommend. You recommend tools and brands you actually use — from RV essentials to business software—and earn a commission on sales. It’s the ultimate way to monetize Trust. 👉 Coming soon: [Best Affiliate Programs for Bloggers]

2. Display Advertising: Digital Rent

🖥 My Blogs & How Each One Earns Money

📈 What’s Working (And What’s Not)
Running a diversified “Blogging Business Ecosystem” has been an incredible masterclass. I’ve learned that not every niche or income stream is built the same way. Some of my sites are high-traffic engines, while others are high-conversion boutiques.
Here is a transparent look at what’s currently powering the estate, what’s still finding its footing, and why traffic doesn’t always tell the whole story.
💎 Top-Performing Income Streams
These are the reliable “Foundation Bricks” that consistently perform across the portfolio:
- Affiliate Marketing (The Precision Engine): When I align a specific problem with a specific tool, this is my most reliable stream. Blogs like [RVersity] and [Fancy Financials] see strong earnings because the audience is looking for high-value solutions—like RV gear or financial tools.
- Display Ads (The Passive Rent): My high-traffic blogs, including [RVersity] and [Maps And Miles], earn solid “sleep income” from Google AdSense and other networks. Even moderate traffic in a high-CPM niche (like Finance) can earn surprising revenue.
- Custom Merchandise (The Community Connection): This performs best when tied to a passionate “Resident” base. Sites like [Birdies Doghouse] and [Cattitude Chaos] prove that people love tangible ways to support a brand they believe in.
- Digital Products & Courses (The High-Ticket Blueprint): Packaging expertise into books, templates, or courses (like at [BLABoss]) generates much higher margins than ads or affiliate links alone. This is how you scale your “Billion-Dollar Brain.”
⏳ Income Streams That Take Time
Not every “wing” of the Hacienda is an instant success. These require more “High-Touch” energy:
- Sponsored Content & Brand Partnerships: These are lucrative but unpredictable. They require active pitching and relationship-building. It’s less about an algorithm and more about an “Authority Exchange.”
- Memberships & Donations: These are fantastic for long-term stability, but they grow slowly. You have to build a “Private Lounge” environment before people are ready to commit to a monthly subscription.
- YouTube Monetization: While a great “Signal,” YouTube is a high-maintenance engine. It is often slower to scale than a well-optimized blog and requires significant time for production and editing.
🚀 Growth vs. New Blogs: The Architect’s Reality
It’s important to remember that I didn’t build all 12 of these in a week. Every estate has its own timeline:
- Newer Blogs take time: Sites like [Redirected Energy] and [Cattitude Chaos] are currently in the “Foundation Phase.” They are gaining SEO traction, but they haven’t reached their full revenue potential yet—and that’s okay.
- Traffic is not the only metric: You don’t need millions of visitors to make a living. A small, engaged audience in a specific niche (like my reselling blog, [Ambay Exchange]) can generate more profit than a massive, general-interest site.
The Key Takeaway: Consistency, niche focus, and a deep understanding of your “Residents” matter more than vanity traffic. Treat your blog like a business, and it will eventually pay you like one.
📊 The Blogging Report Card (Coming Soon)
I get asked the same question almost every day: “Brandi, can we see the actual numbers?”
I believe in total transparency. I want you to see that this isn’t a “get rich quick” scheme—it’s a business. That’s why I’m excited to announce the upcoming launch of my Blogging Report Card.
These quarterly (and eventually yearly) deep-dives will track the health of my entire estate, including:
- Traffic Growth: Which niches are climbing the Google ranks?
- Income Streams: A breakdown of earnings per niche (Ads vs. Affiliates vs. Merch).
- The Laboratory: Updates on new blogs, failed experiments, and what I’m pivoting to next.
Every individual “How I Make Money [Niche] Blogging” post will link directly to its specific section in the Report Card. This gives you a front-row seat to the architecture of a multi-site empire.
Think of it as our private masterclass. You can learn from my wins, avoid my mistakes, and compare notes as you build your own digital land.

The truth is, every blog in my estate earns differently—and that is exactly the point. Some rooms in the Hacienda took off instantly, while others required years of careful renovation. The key to a $10k/month empire isn’t luck; it’s consistency, niche focus, and the courage to keep experimenting.
I didn’t build all 12 of these blogs in a single afternoon. Each one grew at its own pace, and each one taught me something vital about business, SEO, and myself. Your journey will evolve the same way—filled with wins, lessons, and massive growth.
